First on the SceneFrom Chicago Scene - June 2006 Speaking of small things, Minnies is a new fast-paced, customer-based, "chic-casual" eatery with a name that says it all. It is the new brainstorm of entrepreneur Jonathan Segal (Japonais, Le Colonial and P.J. Clarke's). The concept is simple: everything is bite-sized! The theme is all over the menu with an array of Hot Minnies (mini sandwiches) and Minnieburgers (three for $7, six for $13 and 12 for $24). Even the House Special of any three Minnies with fries and an 8 oz carafe of French wine has a mini price of just $13. In addition to accomodating those on the go, Minnies is a great place to relax with a cocktail or glass of wine. It houses Chicago's only Côte de Provence wine tap, where a selection of imported French varietals are poured into carafes (8 oz $6, 12 oz $11, 24 oz $19) and served in small glasses. Grab a group of friends and have a little of everything at this innovative addition to Lincoln Park. |
